BREAKOUT SESSION 1: Measuring Success: IR Performance Metrics - Iberville Room

Speaker: Maureen Wolff-Reid, President & Partner, Sharon-Merrill Associates

The old measures of successful investor relations are dead. Say goodbye to valuing your performance based on increased sell-side coverage, X-number of buy-side meetings and annual media hits. To be a prized IRO today, you must serve as your company's Chief Crisis Prevention Officer, Chief Messaging Officer and Trusted Advisor to the Board. With the risk that one Tweet could sink your valuation, your performance will be judged by your ability to think quickly, respond strategically and enhance your company's reputation against a host of new threats to credibility.

BREAKOUT SESSION 2: Working with Buy and Sell Sides -
La Nouvelle Orleans Ballroom

Speakers: Jeff Smith, Manager of Investor Relations, FedEx; Judson Bailey, Managing Director, Jefferies & Company

Moderator: Sean O'Neill, Vice President, Investor Relations, Ensco plc

With Wall Street as a whole going through dynamic changes: scandals, sell-side shrinking, compensation structure changing, hedge fund/brokerage firm closures - where does the IRO fit in? What are proven methods to increase interaction and impact with the buy-side and the sell-side? Where does paid research fit (or does it)? And how can you make the most of your non-deal roadshows?

 - Iberville Room

Speakers: Edward Ferris, Partner, Hedge Fund Solutions; Frank G. Zarb, Partner, Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP

Changing SEC guidance and increasing shareholder activism on the issue places CEO succession as an increasingly important governance issue. Why did the SEC recently change its position? What are shareholders so riled up about? Should your company take a proactive stance on the issue? What advice should IR executives be offering the company and the board? This session addresses these and other related questions on this emerging and important topic.

Hotel

In 1886, Antonio Monteleone bought a 64 room hotel on the corner of Royal and Iberville streets in New Orleans' world famous French Quarter. The setting was ripe for Antonio to spread his entrepreneurial wings when the nearby Commercial Hotel became available for purchase. That was only the beginning of an amazing historical landmark that is one of the last great family owned and operated hotels in the city. Since 1886, four generations of Monteleones have dedicated themselves to making their hotel what it was and still is: a sparkling jewel in the heart of the French Quarter.

Each spacious guestroom offers in-room safe, minibar, high-speed Internet access, 25-inch color large screen cable television, iron and ironing board, two phones per room with voice mail, coffee maker and coffee.

Is it haunted?

Generations of hotel guests and staff have regularly experienced haunted events. This haunted hotel has a restaurant door that opens almost every evening and then closes again, even though it is locked. An elevator that stops on the wrong floor... Hotel Monteleone is known for being one of the premier haunted hotels in North America. In March 2003, the International Society of Paranormal Research spent several days investigating Hotel Monteleone. While at the hotel, the team made contact with more than a dozen "earthbound entities."

Golf Tournament

NIRI SWRC 2010 will not be hosting a golf tournament this year given that New Orleans can be rainy in August and that golf courses are not in close proximity to the Hotel Monteleone.

We're planning on gathering a group together of anyone who is in town early for a "Taste of New Orleans" - Muffaletas, Beignets, Hurricanes, and a walk around New Orleans!

Meet in the hotel lobby at 1:00pm or just come meet up with us once you have arrived. This is a casual, pay your own way event, so all attendees and guests are welcome. We will start the conference out right by enjoying the best that the Big Easy has to offer!

Itinerary:

1:00pm - Napoleon House

2:30pm - Cafe du Monde
